Curriculum

Learn the basics of home mushroom cultivation! The 2 hour workshop takes place at the HSSS workshop space (or online due to COVID) at 2080 Hayes St. in San Francisco, CA and Saturday mornings “in the field” - weather-permitting - in Golden Gate Park (a short 2 block walk from the shop). You can take the class materials home for your own reference.

Mission of Workshops

HSSS’ mission is to offer accessibility to mycology resources and tools within mycology. two workshop tiers have entry points for everyone. You can upgrade in-class based on what supplies and mushroom varieties are available. no guarantee of moving from tier 1 to tier 2 without a pre-order. 

Grow Kits and Mono Tubs

Our grow kits and mono-tubs are competitively priced and can be re-used for multiple grows.

If there is a particular part of the physical cultivation process that interests you, please reach out and we’ll do our best to focus on that topic in your workshop.

Each In-Shop Class will provide:

• Mushroom refreshments

• Workshop instruction

• Outdoor mushroom foray in GG Park (weather permitting)

• Q&A

Online Help (tier 2): Questions about your grow will be addressed through social media channels by one of our myco experts. From the date of your workshop, you can receive up to 4 weeks of online support, twice a week. from the date of your workshop.
